THERE ARE NO MORE FOUR SEASONS

The duo There are no more four seasons are now releasing "reBiber" - a sequel to their self-titled success from 2008, that was selected as one of the top ten classical albums of the last decade by Dagens Nyheter. Just as the last time There are no more four seasons based their work on an old piece, trying to make it sound as if it was written today. This time the duo used Biber's Passacaglia for solo violin from 1676 as a starting point. The eternal loop and the repetitiveness of the Passacaglia is the foundation of the new piece, but during the process phrases were added and subtracted, and everything has been filtered through different digital and analog devices and algorithms. Among other things a huge modular synth was used. So even though the original piece by Biber is an important part of this new work, it is in most parts an entirely new composition.

There are no more four seasons is the electronic musician Mattias Petersson and the violinist George Kentros. Their self-titled success from 2008 was selected as one of the top ten classical albums of the last decade by Dagens Nyheter. Time Out New York called the duo ”a must see concert” last summer and wrote: ”the result fits together more perfectly than any Ikea bookshelf.”
There are no more four seasons plays live on rock festivals as well as concert halls, they do workshops at conservatories and much and has been touring around the world with their music.
