Michel Klöfkorn och Marie Gavois tillsammans med inbjudna Vaska Fimpen presenterar föreställningen Consumerism goes psychedelic
Välkomna!
Genom att strimla sönder reklam affischbilder och böja, dra och vika dem i ständigt rörliga ljudcollage, dekonstruerar vi vardagslivet vid brytningen mellan bild och innehåll. Vi dyker ner bland den så kallade utvecklade världens modebilder, och försöker nosa upp den industriella produktionens dåliga andedräkt, dold bakom rensade tänder och blekta gummidäck.
Dränkt i sjögräs av masskonsumtion och masskommunikation, baseras verket på teorin att vi alla lever i ett collage. Genom nya kombinationer av de visuella bilderna omprövar vi det världsomspännande collaget, dess hierarkier och förstenade villkor.

Vaska Fimpen är ett punkband skapat av konstnären Iris Smeds. Vaska Fimpen
har det senaste året spelat tre gånger i Sankt Petersburg, på en buss
Siljekrog, varit Sexig Häst på Minibar och Ledsen Vagina på Spritmuseum.
För "Consumerism goes psychadelic" kommer Vaska Fimpen framföra låtar som
"Spränga banken" och "Alla korvar har ett slut" samt spela en helt ny låt.

goes psychedelic
Welcome!
By cutting these billboards and scaffolding covers into fringes, bending, pulling and folding them into continuously moving sound collages, we deconstruct everyday life at the schism between image and substance. We dive into the fashion pictures of the so called developed world, we try to sniff out the bad breath of industrial production hidden behind the flossed teeth and bleached rubber tires.
Drowned in the seaweed of mass consumerism and communication, the work is based on the theory that we are all living in a collage. By re-combining the visual images we re-think the world-wide collage, its hierarchies and petrified conditions.

Vaska Fimpen is a punk band created by the artist Iris Smeds. The last
year, Vaska Fimpen has played three times in St Petersburg, on a bus
Siljekrog, been a Sexig Häst [ sexy horse] at Minibar and Ledsen Vagina
[sad vagina] at Spritmuseum. For "Consumerism goes psychadelic" Vaska
Fimpen perform songs like "Spränga banken" and "Alla korvar har ett slut"
and also play completely new song. Merch will be available for sale.
