Lucy Duncombe & Feronia Wennborg: 3rd Remove from the Real_
In 3rd Remove From the Real_ multiple digital selves enter into a process of becoming-with-one-another via the distributed narrative of two voice clones and a choir of virtual singers. The work draws on databases, archives and research practices connected to the emotional classification of vocalisations, exploring the complexities of subjective voice as it slips through a set of narrow, scientific parameters.

Feronia Wennborg is an artist and musician working across performance, installation, text and sound. Her work is based in processes of recording, transcription and digital transformation, collecting traces of intimacy and friendship. Feronia often works collaboratively and is part of the duo soft tissue together with Simon Weins. Her work has been presented at: Wysing Arts Centre, West den Haag, Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop, CCA Glasgow, Cafe OTO, Counterflows & Radiophrenia.

Lucy Duncombe is an artist, vocalist and musician, using text and sound to explore the
emergence of voice based technologies within the field of synthetic biology. She has previously performed at; QO2 Brussels, Celine Gallery, The National Opera of Belgium and La Monnaie, Radiophrenia, Tectonics Festival, Counterflows, & Market Gallery. In 2021, she released music with 12th Isle, Warm Winters Ltd, and a self-released tape, The Rapture of Cellular Accretio

Cara Tolmie works from within the intersections of performance-making, improvised music and moving image. The practice at large centres itself upon the voice, the body and the complex ties between the two. All at once subjective as well as socially determined, she explores voice and body as two codependent entities able to confirm as well as contradict one another. Within this there is keen attention paid to the role of listening, both as a practice witnessed by the onlooker and a relationship between the performer and audience member.

Unfortunately the scheduled performance by Jens Masimov has been cancelled.
