FYLKINGEN + XKatedral presents: Keiji Haino, Balazs Pandi and 1914 - 1918

Fylkingen and XKatedral proudly presents Keiji Haino, Balazs Pandi and 1914 - 1918 on October 6, 2016.

Keiji Haino , the most intriguing and mysterious figure to emerge from the Japanese psychedelic underground. With crushing talent, genre-bounding vision, and eardrum-restructuring volume, Keiji Haino has perfected his monumental psychedelic noise since the early '70s. Over the course of decades, 100+ records, and several projects (including the manic power trio Fushisusha among many others) the Japanese guitarist has fused free-jazz, noise, psychedelia, and Krautrock as one of the principal architects and leading ambassadors of Japanoise. His relentless and restless muse has also led to a myriad of collaborations with the likes of John Zorn, Boris, Jim O’Rourke, Oren Ambarchi, Stephen O’Malley and Sunn O))). In whatever constellation, Keiji Haino’s music is deathly beautiful, radiant, and jarring. A stunning wall of aural chaos burning infinite bright passages.

This intimate performance at Fylkingen sees Keiji Haino in collaboration with Balazs Pandi , the Hungarian drummer notorious for his severly energetic pattern complexity and collaboartions with renown artists such as Venetian Snares, Mats Gustavsson, Thurston Moore and Merzbow.

1914 - 1918 is DJ Anja Enerud of Masskultur, Orphan Ann and Arcade Overseas.

This evening is also the official release of new XKatedral tapes by Mats Erlandsson, Maria W Horn, Kali Malone, Ellen Arkbro, Caterina Barbieri and David Granström .
