DE PLAYER at FYLKINGEN

A presentation of live performances and exclusive audio releases, positioned on the interdisciplinary boundaries between visual arts, experimental sound, and performance. The program consists of: an exhibition, performance program, workshop, and reading. The exhibition is a showcase of the exclusive vinyl releases DE PLAYER has produced in cooperation with international artists. The performance program will be based on using vinyl as a medium for live music. The reading and workshop address the underlying ideas of this innovative metier, executed on an 'old school' medium, and its relation to the early avant garde: this has been the focus in the program of DE PLAYER. The 'in-house' produced vinyl records are audio carrier, sculpture, performance tool, and/or installational particle; they are as well technical, tactile and visual pieces. We present these works in a contextual program of live performances and informative aspects. The vinyl products are published and distributed throughout the world. with Dennis De Bel, Gert Jan Prins, Kent Tankred, Leif Ellgren, Peter Fengler and Koos Siep amongst others.

DE PLAYER will also be participating in the event in memory of Sten Hanson on October 21st.
